Thank you for your interest in UCA Athletics!
Athletics is an integral part of any school. Through athletics, students are able to experience team work, leadership skills, following instructions; as well as experiencing the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. At UCA it is our goal to field competitive athletic teams. We strive to instill respect toward coaches, officials, and our opponents.
It is important for students to see the rewards of their hard work on and off the field or court. Our coaches work to encourage our athletes to give their best efforts at all times.

Athletics Overview
UCA competes in the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools, MAIS. UCA joined the association in 2010. The MAIS is comprised of private schools throughout Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. MAIS is a member of the National Federation of High Schools.
Our Lions and Lady Lions have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports, including Football, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Track and Field and Cheerleading.
UCA facilities include a Gymnasium, which is home to our basketball program and includes a basketball court, boys and girls locker room and a weight room.
The football complex includes stadium seating and a press box on the home side.
UCA’s Softball and Baseball program includes outstanding fields and covered batting cages.
Our Teams
Cheerleading
Cheer is a very important aspect of a school setting in order to promote school spirit.
UCA does not participate in competitive cheer. Cheerleaders perform at all football games, as well as some home basketball games. Tryouts are held in the Spring.
Softball
Our Lady Lions Softball team has made appearances in the regional playoffs 10 out of the last 12 years. They have appeared in the Class MAIS Championship Tournament 4 times.

Basketball
Boys Basketball has claimed 4 District Championships in the past 4 seasons. The boys have appeared in the regional playoffs for the past 4 seasons, advancing to the class MAIS Championship Tournament twice.
Track and Field
