Letter from our Athletic Director
Thank you for your interest in UCA Athletics!
Athletics is an integral part of any school. Through athletics, students are able to experience team work, leadership skills, following instructions; as well as experiencing the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. At UCA it is our goal to field competitive athletic teams. We strive to instill respect toward coaches, officials, and our opponents.
It is important for students to see the rewards of their hard work on and off the field or court. Our coaches work to encourage our athletes to give their best efforts at all times.
”Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.”

Athletics Overview
UCA competes in the Midsouth Association of Independent Schools, having joined the association in 2010. The MAIS is comprised of private schools throughout Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. MAIS is a member of the National Federation of High Schools.
Our Lions and Lady Lions have the opportunity to participate in a range of sports, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field, and cheerleading.
UCA facilities include a gymnasium, at 654 S. Main St., which is home to our basketball program. In addition to the basketball court, the building contains boys and girls locker rooms and a weight room.
The football complex, at 7645 HWY 15, includes stadium seating, a press box on the home side, and concession stands.
UCA’s Softball and Baseball facility, at 590 Camp Road, includes the two fields, covered batting cages, a press box, and concession stand.
Our Teams
Cheerleading
Our cheerleaders work hard to promote school spirit at pep rallies, games, and other events on and off campus.
UCA does not participate in competitive cheer. Cheerleaders perform at all football games and home basketball games. Tryouts are held in the Spring.
Softball
Our Lady Lions Softball team is made up of student athletes in grades 7-12. These young ladies compete with dedication while building teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The team practices and plays at the UCA Sports Complex at 590 Camp Road, where players continue to develop their skills while representing the Lion program.
Baseball
Union Christian Academy’s baseball team is made up of students in grades 7–12 who compete with determination and teamwork while representing the Lion program. The team practices and hosts games at 590 Camp Road and also benefits from a batting cage located on campus next to the gym, providing additional opportunities to develop their skills and love for the game.
Football
Union Christian Academy’s football program brings together student-athletes in grades 7–12. The Lions practice and host games at UCA’s Sports Complex, also known as Pride Field. It’s located at 7645 HWY 15, about 2½ miles north of the main campus.
Basketball
Union Christian Academy’s boys basketball team competes with determination and strong teamwork, consistently giving opponents a competitive game throughout the season. The Lions play their home games at the UCA PAC, located at 654 S. Main St., where students in grades 7–12 represent the school with effort, sportsmanship, and Lion pride.
Track and Field
Union Christian Academy’s track and field team consistently performs well in competition, participating in several meets each season. Lion athletes frequently qualify for the MAIS South State meet, which serves as a qualifier for the MAIS Championship held each spring in Mississippi. The team is open to student-athletes in grades 7-12.
