Welcome Letter from our School Administrator

As we open the doors to the 2019-2020 school year, we celebrate the 20th birthday of Union Christian Academy.  We are thankful for the prayers and support that we’ve received from our community.  While this marks the 20th year of our school, it also brings new direction and leadership.  Our administrator, Mr. Bill Ritz has decided to retire from UCA and pursue other ministries in Christian education.  We will miss him and pray the very best for his future and his family.  During the first semester of the year, I will be the school administrator.  Mr. Eric Carter, former UPHS principal, will join us as administrator after the Christmas break.   Our vision and mission continue to move forward and grow as the Lord directs our path as found in Proverbs 3:5-6.  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Through the summer we have reviewed areas that we feel need to be priorities for the students.  Our teachers will continue to focus on the basics of reading, writing, arithmetic, science, and history.  We will also put a greater emphasis on developing the identity of our students in our Bible classes and developing the students’ gifts through our music program.  Our jr. high and high school chapel services will be taking place twice per month at Farmerville First Assembly.  We are excited that our students will be in “church” for chapel.

Our board and staff pray for every student and family and hope for a year full of spiritual development and academic growth.  May God be with us in the halls of UCA and our other schools, in the communities of Union Parish, in the United States of America, and on this beautiful planet earth.

Welcome to our Lions and Lady Lions!

In His service,
Kay Hicks
